Control Solutions
The experienced engineering team at Liberty has created the definitive next generation Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring Systems (ALCMS).
Liberty's solutions are built around off-the-shelf, standards compliant, industrial-grade components - providing reliability, cost effectiveness and flexibility. Facility operators get the best solution currently available as well as the ability to control costs and leverage industry-wide technical advancements in the long term.
L-890 Control & Monitoring Systems
The Freedom Series ALCMS is the Cadillac of control and monitoring systems. State of the art distributed control and monitoring units (DCMU) are combined with the latest industrial control technologies to provide a fully redundant ALCMS that can survive multiple hardware, software or communication problems. The system is modular providing an integrated approach to advanced monitoring options such as Insulation Resistance Monitoring (IRMS) and L-827 monitoring. Certified for all levels of the FAA L-890 specification, this system is designed for airports requiring advanced monitoring and operating in low visibility conditions down to CAT IIIb.
The Spirit Series ALCMS family is designed with off-the-shelf industrial hardware and software, providing the latest technologies in cost effective systems for airports requiring basic level monitoring. The Spirit SE ALCMS (Special Edition) provides additional advanced monitoring features for airports with Liberty CCRs. The Spirit LT ALCMS scales down the graphics providing a touch-screen version of an L-821 pushbutton panel for general aviation and smaller airports.
L-890 Control & Monitoring Interface (L-827 Monitoring)
The Freedom Series Digital Control and Monitoring Unit (DCMU) can be supplied as an integral part of a Freedom Series ALCMS, or as a interface between a 3rd party ALCMS and a 3rd party CCR. The DCMU provides a fully distributed architecture with redundant communications, and provides complete L-827 and L-890 advanced monitoring, input and output power monitoring, and IRMS (automatic megger) functions.
L-821 Control Panel
General aviation and smaller remote airports may not be able to afford a touch-screen based control and monitoring system, or have the staff available for maintainance and support. For these airports, Liberty is pleased to offer a traditional push button and rotary switch type control panel to control the airfield lighting circuits.
Insulation Resistance Monitoring Systems
Electrical maintenance on the airfield is critical to the continuous operation of airfield lighting equipment. Data obtained from predictive maintenance tools provides valuable information that will increase personnel safety, reduce maintenance labor costs, and improve airfield operation.
System Upgrades
The Liberty Eagle™ ALCMS Upgrade program is designed to provide a logical and cost effective migration path, extending the life of the system by many years. The Eagle™ ALCMS Upgrade program is available for systems installed since 1988.
